The Finsbury Park invasion

Back to hub page

Once you get to Finsbury Park, there'll be refreshments as well as help with your bike. Once you're all set, you can join your group and head off to the main event. The hubs open at 10.00am with the first riders leaving for the central route at 10.30am and the last riders heading off at 1.30pm.

All hubs open at 10am with lots of activity to get you in the mood before setting off on the marshalled rides to the festival!

Then, you are funnelled through the very technical Freewheel Funnel System™ alongside marshals ready to hit the streets and start your journey - give a "shout" to the MC as you pass: they'll be bopping away and waving you farewell as you leave and please be patient if you have to wait a bit - its all in the name of safety - we've set up some roving entertainers there to amuse you as exit the Funnel!

We're also encouraging people to plan their day - perhaps don't turn up at 10am on the dot, allow the numbers to die down a bit: we know people are excited about this, so expect large numbers between 10am - 11am, but you can leave from the hubs with marshals right up until 1.30pm - so there's no rush.

The North London Super Cyclists - Badge

North London Super Cyclists

X-ray vision, super-human feats and leaping tall speed bumps in a single bound are all in a day's work for these folk. And if you're a North Londoner, you'll be pleased to know that you're officially a Super Cyclist too.

So when Hovis London Freewheel rolls around, it's your duty to get dressed up (think capes, and masks - but just putting your pants on the outside of your trousers will do) and put the other hubs to shame!
